Hello,
Bought a brand new HP 63 Ink cartridge, installed it last night and it says this ink is not compatible with this printer. Recognizes the old ink cartridge without issues. Tried the support procedures of cleaning the terminals but nothing worked. Hard to believe I am just out of luck and lost $20+ since I cant return an opened package.

Indeed this printer uses HP 63 ink cartridges in the US region.
Make sure the plastic tape if any is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.
Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge
If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the new ink cartridge as it could be defective.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

I tried all of the support suggestions and cleaned the terminals on the printer and the cartridge....nothing works. It immediately tells me it does not recognize the ink. I need to contact support to figure how to get this exchanged but the site wont allow me to, it keeps looping me into the support page and how to fix it when I have already tried all of it.
