Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw

My Color LaserJet Pro M254dw is not recognizing genuine HP toner cartridges. after one page, it comes up with an error message saying that the chip is not recognized as a genuine HP cartridge, which it is, bought from a reputable supplier and came in a sealed box. obviously makes a perfectly functional printer unusable. not sure if it is a driver issue or what. I have seen a few other people on here with the issue, but there are no solutions.
