I installed three never used and absolutely genuine HP color ink cartridges (magenta, cyan, yellow - Model 951-XL) into my 8610 printer that were purchased several years ago.  I keep getting error message that my cartridges are incompatible.  I shake them and have reinstalled several times and keep getting the same message.  When I install the empty cartridges, I don't get the incompatibility message but I get the message that my cartridges are empty.

Have not gotten a response from HP.  Since my original note I've continued to research and learned that I need to change the regionalization of my printer.  My assistance purchased these cartridges several years ago and probably saved a few bucks?  I've discovered the cartridges that were purchased online came from Europe and won't work in my US printer.  There is a way to change the regionalization of my printer but need HP support.  Is there a phone number to contact them?
