Hi @Sasmit2015,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The horizontal white lines in your printing could indicate an issue with the printhead or ink flow. Since you've already cleaned the printheads using HP Smart and manually, here are additional steps you can take to resolve the issue.
Run a Printhead Cleaning (Again)
- Perform another cleaning cycle using the HP Smart app. Sometimes, multiple cleaning cycles are needed to resolve the issue completely.
Align the Printheads
- From HP Smart:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Go to the Print Quality Tools section and select Align Printheads.
- From Printer Control Panel:
- Access the settings and look for Maintenance or Tools options.
- Select Align Printheads.
Check Ink Levels
- Make sure the ink levels in the tanks are adequate, as low ink levels can cause issues like missing lines in prints.
- If necessary, refill the ink tanks following the HP instructions.
Check for Air in Ink Lines
- If the ink levels are sufficient, check the ink lines (visible from the outside) for any air bubbles. If air is trapped, it could disrupt ink flow and cause white lines.
- Fix: Print several pages with solid colors to help push any air bubbles out.
Print a Diagnostic Page
- Print Quality Report: Go to the printer’s Tools menu and print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report.
- Check if the report shows any irregularities or if the nozzles appear to be misfiring (e.g., missing blocks or lines).
Check the Paper Settings
- Ensure that the paper type selected in the printer settings matches the actual paper you are using. Mismatches in paper settings can lead to quality issues.
Update Printer Firmware
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Outdated firmware may cause print quality issues.
Manually Clean the Printhead Contacts
- Gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and in the printer using a lint-free cloth moistened with distilled water. Ensure the printhead is fully dry before reinserting it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
