Ghosting on a Laserjet M608x

I have a customer with dozens of M605,M608, and M611 printers but two of the M608 are constantly ghosting when printing. They are using OEM HP toner, I have changed the fuser three times in the past year . Most recently the fuser was changed thirty days ago. So it printed great for a few weeks and starts back ghosting. I have played around with the fuser modes in the print quality section but nothing helps

First I will assume that the firmware is up to date on the products, if not, that is your first step. Next, you need to go into the print quality menu on the control panel and find the humidity control setting and change it to alternate. That will resolve this issue about 75% of the time.

Thank you for the reply . I changed the setting on both problematic M608 printers as well as upgraded the firmware . Although it’s only been a few days one of the users say they were getting the ghosting when printing mailing labels from tray one ? Is there anything tray specific that she would see this with thicker label stock but not from tray two and three ?

Everything is printing now just fine . Your tips of the humidity setting  was spot on the solution
