I just got this HP printer that comes with both cartidges of color and black. For some reason, I can’t print in color. The automatic sheet that did come out came in color but that is the only one that can come in color. I checked my ColorSync Utility App on my Macbook and the Mode is “Gray”. I have no idea how to fix this and I’ve been searching for hours. I did reset and restarted my macbook and readded the device onto my macbook but no coloring still.

I understand that your printer is not printing in color, I am glad to assist you.
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page –
Open the HP Smart app, and then print the Print Quality Diagnostic page.

Open HP Smart and select your printer.

Click Printer Reports, or click Tools and then click Printer Reports.
The list of reports displays.

Select Print Quality Report.
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware
