Hi @BIKRAMJENA,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Cleaning the printhead of an HP InkTank 115 printer can help resolve issues such as print quality problems, streaks, or missing colors. Here's how you can clean the printhead:
Access Maintenance Tools: Start by accessing the printer's maintenance tools. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu on the control panel or through the printer software on your computer.
Initiate Printhead Cleaning: Look for an option labeled "Printhead Cleaning" or something similar in the maintenance menu. Select this option to begin the printhead cleaning process.
Follow On-Screen Instructions: Depending on your printer model and software interface, you may be prompted to confirm the printhead cleaning action. Follow any on-screen instructions to proceed.
Print Test Page: After the printhead cleaning process is complete, the printer may prompt you to print a test page to check the print quality. If not, you can manually initiate a test print from the printer's settings menu.
Inspect Print Quality: Examine the test page for any improvements in print quality. Look for issues such as streaks, smudges, or missing colors. If the print quality has improved, the cleaning process was successful.
Repeat if Necessary: If the print quality is still unsatisfactory after the first cleaning cycle, you can repeat the printhead cleaning process one or two more times to see if further improvement occurs.
Manual Cleaning (if needed): If the printhead cleaning function does not resolve the issue, you may need to perform a manual cleaning of the printhead. To do this:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the printer cover to access the printhead.
- Moisten a lint-free cloth with distilled water.
- Gently wipe the printhead nozzles and surface to remove any dried ink or debris.
- Avoid applying excessive pressure or touching the electrical contacts on the printhead.
- Allow the printhead to dry completely before closing the printer cover and powering it back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
