I am having print quality issues with my HP DJ2620.  But when I try to clean the cartridges through HP Smart, the printer starts to do something then stops. But the cleaning pop-up on the app still runs, with it's moving dots still moving, but nothing happens on the printer. I've left it a long time, and nothing happens. I've restarted the PC and the printer, but still nothing. Alignment works ok, but print quality not really good enough until it gets cleaned. Has anyone has this experience?HP Cleaning.jpg

@markpb1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory and the HP Smart app hangs while cleaning the inks cartridges.

 

Check if the app is up to date, or reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

 

If the issue persists, run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue and to clean the ink cartridges.

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
