I am trying to print a photo and cannot force the HP printer to print in color. I go to advanced settings and change it from Monochrome to color and the print out still comes out black and white. I read some other posts stating to take it to word and change advanced settings there but the option is not available, besides the HP printer and software should perform as sold. Need help on this before this POS goes in the garbage and I go find a brand that works.

I completely understand how frustrating it is when a printer doesn’t perform as expected—especially with something as basic as color printing.
Let’s work through a few steps to help resolve this issue and get your printer working the way it should.
Is the color cartridge installed and has ink? Run a test print or printer diagnostics from the printer itself to see if color ink is being recognized.
Let’s make sure you’re changing the right settings:
Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Right-click on HP ENVY 4510 series > Printing Preferences
Under the Paper/Quality tab:
Media Type: Set to Photo Paper (if you're printing a photo)
Print Quality: Set to Best
Color: Make sure it’s set to Color, not grayscale or black-only
