My HP 4635 does not print blue with a new HP color cartridge. With the old cartridge it did not print yellow.

 

This problem started after I unsuccessfully tried to print on 4x6 photo paper. (It printed only a small, variable portion of each image or nothing at all.) I have given up trying to print on photo paper; it's not important. I mention this only in case it's relevant to my current problem.

I understand you are experiencing some printing issues with your HP Officejet 4635 e-All-in-One Printer, particularly with the colors not printing correctly. 

 

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

 

Clean the Print Head: Sometimes, the print head may become clogged or dirty, leading to poor print quality or missing colors. Most printers have a built-in utility for cleaning the print head. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu or through the printer software on your computer. Running a print head cleaning cycle may help resolve the issue.

Align the Print Head: Print head misalignment can also cause color issues. Look for the print head alignment utility in your printer's settings menu or software and follow the instructions to align the print head.

Check the Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the new HP color cartridge you installed is properly seated and securely locked into place. Sometimes, cartridges may not make proper contact with the printer's contacts, resulting in printing problems.

Reset the Printer: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. Refer to your printer's user manual documentation for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
