After storing my 5252 printer for a few years, I hook everything up, print 5 or so pages I needed then did a stupid thing. I updated the firmware. Why? Everything was working just fine but no, I trusted the update published to be a good & reliable. Boy, was I mistaken. Bottom line, how do I get archived firmware files? To save well meaning people time & frustration, I've completed all the steps imaginable to bring this thing back to life short of outright replacing the cartridges that arent bad. If I spend any money at al, it's to get out of HP and into another inkjet printer. Absolutely ridiculous.

Hi @kjanuary,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Cartridge Reinstallation: Ensure that the cartridges are correctly installed. Remove and reinsert them to ensure a good connection.
Cartridge Cleaning: Clean the electrical contacts of the cartridges and the printer to ensure that they are communicating properly.
Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve issues by resetting the hardware.
Unfortunately, without the ability to revert to an earlier firmware version, these are your best options.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

This does NOT address my issue. I am not paying one cent for the ability to call a rep that will tell me I am out of luck. I want the firmware as I requested multiple times now unless HP wants to provide a replacement printer to the one they screwed up!
