Hi, my HP 570 plus does not print blue anymore. I have used the cleaning programm 6 times, no results. The heads do not center when I open lid so changing the head is also not possible. Question; how can it print blue again? All ink levels are almost full. Black has less but stiil prints black.

Hi @Floris1966,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 570 Plus printer is not printing blue despite running the cleaning program multiple times and the print heads not centering when you open the lid, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Check the Ink Cartridge: Ensure that the blue ink cartridge is not empty or low on ink. Replace it with a new or properly filled cartridge if needed.
Check Ink Levels: Use your printer's control panel or software on your computer to check the ink levels for the blue cartridge. If it's low, replace it.
Clean the Print Heads Manually: Sometimes, automated cleaning doesn't work well. You can try manually cleaning the print heads.
- a. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- b. Open the printer cover to access the print heads (if possible).
- c. Remove the blue ink cartridge.
- d. Dampen a lint-free cloth or paper towel with distilled water (not tap water) and gently wipe the print head nozzles. Be very gentle to avoid damaging the print head.
- e. Let the print head dry completely.
- f. Reinsert the ink cartridge, close the cover, and plug in the printer.
- g. Turn on the printer and print a test page to check if blue is now printing correctly.
Check Print Settings: Ensure that the printer settings on your computer are correctly configured to use the blue ink. Sometimes, color settings can be accidentally changed to grayscale or black and white.
Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can also cause printing issues. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your HP 570 Plus printer. You can usually download them from the HP website.
Perform a Hard Reset: If none of the above steps work, try performing a hard reset on your printer.
- a. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- b. Leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes to completely discharge any residual power.
- c. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- d. Try printing a test page to check if the issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi, I have the same problem with the cyan ink (seems like a standard issue?).
How did you clean / replace the cartridge?
I can't get the printer to present the cartridges to me, when I open the access door.
All info I found points to the printer only doing that, if there is an error with the printhead, which in my case the printer doesn't know itself.

I ended up starting a print job and then pulling the plug while the carriage was on the go.
That's probably not the best way, but the only way I could find without some secret commands, if there are any.
After pulling the cartridge and carefilly wiping the printhead and slightly blowing into the respective color inlet (all with a paper towel under the printhead) I could see some blue ink coming out.
I put it back in and it's printing perfectly again.
If that doesn't work, you can at least replace the cartridge this way.
Good luck
