Old HP 6700 Officejet on wi-fi lan has alwys been reliable om Windows 10 but recently stopped printing Magenta. I replaced all the cartridges with again genuine HP cartridges. Problem still there. I have run the automated HP "fixit" tool twice wice and ran the Clener app 4 times . Problem still there. Prints Black fine but I alredy have a Laser printer when I want that on bigger jobs. I would like to get this problem solved soon without buying anothe printer. All printer SW updated prior to failed tests.

Hi @Tofnow,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!
I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
This seems like an issue with the ink cartridge or the printhead of the printer. Let us try these steps that may resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Check the estimated ink levels
On the printer control panel, touch the Ink Level icon () or (
).
Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.
Clean the printhead
Load plain white paper into the tray.
On the printer control panel, touch the right arrow to display more options.
Touch Setup, and then touch Tools. The Tools Menu displays.
Touch Clean Printhead.
Wait while the printer completes the printhead cleaning process, and then touch OK.
Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display more options.
Touch Setup (). The Setup Menu displays.
Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.
Touch Print Quality Report. The test page prints.
Let me know how this goes.
