HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

The only recent change I can think of is upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11.  Envelope printing has changed as printer prints envelopes on the opposite site and upside down.  Changing MS Word settings it now prints on the correct side, but the printing is upside down.  I can live with that.  But now that it prints, the printed characters look like their missing a pixel as the characters are printed causing them to look a little blurry.

Please help if you can.

Thanks,  Ben

I can't explain how these files and downloads solved this problem, but it did.  I encountered obstacles all along the way.  Test prints were incorrect.  Colors on these test prints were incorrect and the alphabet above the color prints was unreadable.  I shut it all own last night thinking today I would de-install the printer and re-install it today, but when I powered up today to give it one more chance IT WORKED !!  I printed envelope data on plain paper and then on envelopes and the orientation of the addressee and return address were correct......first time in a week or so.  The "system" said I was running Windows 10 but gave me the opportunity to change it to Windows 11, but after a few more clicks it kept reverting to Windows 10

Anyway.....Thanks very much to all.  Envelope printing now works perfectly on my HP 6978! -

Thanks again...... SlingshotIII
