HP 6978 HAS ENOUGH INK BUT WON'T PRINT--paper goes through tray but comes out blank

Just put in new cartridges 2 weeks ago-- don't do a lot of printing -- printer is 2 years old -- print about 20 pages per month -- yesterday i got a half printed sheet -- printer revs up, paper goes through but comes out blank in the tray....BLACK AND COLORS WILL NOT PRINT
