- HP 6978 ink cartridges wont work says use Setup Cartidges

Hp sent me a whole new set of ink cartridges for my Hp 6978, I bought two in 2018 the first one finally crashed so I opened my new box with new printer I bought in 2018
but the setup cartridges did not come in the box, I never opened the second box nor did I try too. Why should I it was brand new and I could only use one and register one with Hp online. That being said it took an hour of troubleshooting my printer before the women behind the phone stopped reading the cheat sheet and believed I bought two and I gave her the serial number which was different from the one I registered in 2018 with the 1st one.
So I've waited a week for the ink to com in horrible one at a time everyday. Today I got the last one 8/30/2022 and I put them in NO SHOW, they did not work.
I asked her if she is sending me the ink cartridges with the default chip in them that will know my printer, she never answered me, didn't want to get her angry and not get my new ink with chip that would make my Hp 6978 work. Can anyone please, please help me by pass this system or know what if anything I can do, or get Hp to address this.I also bought a brand new Hp Laptop windows 11 that I had them build for me with 1TB mechanical drive and two SSD 320 GB 17" touch screen and then some which I'm sorry did cant us my printer and they were no help. If I have to go out and buy another printer, I swear after years of dealing with HP I will go out by another Printer sell my laptop and be down with them. Its very difficult to get anyone these days to help you and you'll be lucky to find anyone that care.
