Hey everyone. I am going crazy.
Simply trying to change out my ink cartridges and the lid WILL NOT OPEN. I have done this many times and know how to do it, but the lid to access the print cartridges feels like it is welded shut.
what is the deal here?

I see that you are facing issues with replacing the cartridges on your HP Officejet pro 6978 all-in-one Product.
You may follow the steps on page 99 of this User manual.

This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair.
