Hello,
I need to print out some papers and noticed the ink was getting too light, so I opened up my new box of official HP 74 + 75 to install. The color one is detecting but shows an error for the right side ( the black cartridge ) with "Print Cartridge Missing or Note Detected" on the little screen on the printer.
I swapped around and put the old black one back in and it said it was fine, but of course, it's not gonna print clearly as it is out of ink. Then I opened up and put the new black cartridge back in and the same error came up.
Even tho' it is just the one side but doesn't make sense that it accepts the old black cartridge and not the new black cartridge, I have made sure to check online, use the Virtual Agent, cleaned the contacts, turned it off and waited, plugged it back in and it still comes up with the same message.
I still have the box for the new cartridges since I JUST opened it but no receipt, tho' I am not sure if the store would even take back something to let me exchange something that's been opened since there's no way to verify which ones have ink and which ones don't, LoL.
Any tips / help would be appreciated.
