I recently purchased an Envy 7855 and found that the printed photo photo color is dark and different from what I saw from the monitor or other printers. (see the following photo) I cleaned and aligned the cartridges and recalibrated it, but the printing is still like this. From the HP manual (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02227495), "advanced color settings", we should be able to adjust the brightness and color by ourselves. But I did not find those options for my printer. I am wondering how can I adjust the color manually when I print the photo or is there any other way that I can calibrate my printer correctly? Thanks.

Hi Betty, thank you so much for your suggestions. I am sorry for the late reply. "Make sure the printing in best quality is off", do you mean I should try to use the best printing quality or not? I tried both but the color was still not correct. The printer works great, but I think the printer color was not well calibrated. (which we can see from the comparison above) I am wondering can I run the calibration by myself (Adjust the brightness of the printer etc. like the other printers' setting as below) Or do you have other suggestions how to get the correct color by myself? Thank you so much.

The printer works. It can print photos, but the brightness and color are not correct compared with my screen and other printers, even though I used the photo paper and chose the best quality. Is there any way that I can calibrate it by myself? Thanks.

You can uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check 🙂
