using HP Instant Ink plan, I seem to be having issues with the blue ink/printhead.  I cartridge seemed to be faulty, replaced it and was getting steaks for a while, now nothing much coming from blue at all.  cartridge is reported to be almost full.  Have run cleaning cycles several times,  get some blue for a while then nothing.  Bought a cleaning kit, again worked a bit for a while then nothing.  Any suggestions, printer is just over 1 year old.

I understand you've already taken several troubleshooting steps to address the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 printer's blue ink. Since you've replaced the cartridge, run cleaning cycles, and tried a cleaning kit without resolving the problem completely, 

 

here are a few additional suggestions you can try:

 

  • Manual Cleaning: Sometimes, automated cleaning cycles may not be sufficient. You can try manually cleaning the printhead. HP usually provides instructions for manual cleaning in their support documentation or website. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging the printer.
  • Printhead Alignment: Check if the printhead is properly aligned. Misalignment can sometimes cause printing issues, including poor color output. You can usually find printhead alignment options in the printer settings or through the printer's control panel.
  • Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for printing issues. You can check for updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Ink Cartridge Expiration: Ensure that the blue ink cartridge is not expired. Expired ink cartridges can cause printing problems. If the cartridge is expired, replace it with a new one.
  • Check Print Settings: Double-check your print settings to ensure that they are configured correctly. Sometimes, incorrect settings can affect color output.
  • Print Quality Diagnostic: Most printers have a diagnostic or test print option that can help identify specific issues with print quality. Use this feature to see if it provides any insights into the problem with the blue ink.
