Own HP Office Jet Pro 6578. I have been having a repeat issue with the numerous 902XL CYAN cartridges failing to print even though cartridges still register as containing ink. I have followed the HP print-quality correction procedures multiple times, i.e., cleaning cartridges, cleaning cartridge contact area, cleaning printer contact pins, etc.
Currently I have two (2) failed 902XL CYAN cartridges purchased at Staples Online which I would like to get replaced but they are outside of Staples' return window.
Seems to be a systemic problem with CYAN cartridges?!
Please advise.
Thank you.

I have printed and completed the linked article "Fixing Print Quality Problems". Interestingly, the first few of the pages printed pretty much error free in color. Part way through the print process the CYAN cartridge started to skip and show defects. Printing the "Diagnostic Page" confirmed a failure of the CYAN cartridge. After 2 cartridge cleanings, both the "Diagnostic Page" and "Print Quality Page" showed restoration of the CYAN print quality. The page printed after another cartridge cleaning appears to be fine...all colors printed, no streaks, no skips.
I should note that I have done all these "Fixes" previously and continue to periodically have issues with ONLY the CYAN cartridges.
Not a Printer Tech but IMHO there is an issue with CYAN cartridges since this is NOT the first time I have registered a complaint.
As the quote goes..."I'll (probably) be back!"
