What is the issue with the cyan and yellow ink cartridges? I heard there is a recall. I cannot find any replacement ink. Is it oK to leave the ones I have in my printer? Will it damage the printer?

How can I tell if the cartridges I have are part of the recall?

I tried using the automated chat and it is useless for this topic - just keeps going in circles! When will the supply be replenished?

@VJ158, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Apologies for the inconvenience. There was an issue with the new lot of HP 910 Cyan and Yellow ink cartridges for this model printer and they were recalled. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and the Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge or to check its availability.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Also, check if the printer/ink cartridges are eligible for a replacement. Refer to -  'Incompatible' or 'Defective Cartridge' message

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

I want to know when the 910 ink cartridges will be available.  I haven't been able to purchase ink for months and my printer is out as well as my warranty ran out while waiting to purchase ink.  HP needs to make this up to their customers in some way or give a refund for the printer.  I have only had this printer for a year and I have gone through three or four sets of ink cartridges and I don't do that much printing so there is obviously an issue with the cartridges.  My previous HP all in one printer was wonderful.  I purchased a Canon and hated it so I went back to HP.  Now dealing with this issue has been a nightmare and HP owes their customers for not being able to use their product.  This is awful customer service.  I can't get an answer at support because you can never talk to a person.  So disappointed in HP.
