I have always used HP 952 ink cartridges with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. I had two unopened boxes of new unused ink cartridges. When I inserted the cartridges from one of them, I got a message on the small screen on the printer, stating "This cartridge is an older generation cartridge that does not work in your printer. It can still be used with some older printer models." What does this mean? What type of ink cartridges must I buy? Are they not 952s? Inside the cover it reads 952, 952 XL. HP 952, 952 XL cartridges have always worked in the past. I never had this problem before. Could the store have old me old 952s which no longer work in my printer?
