I purchased the 956 XL cartridge from Costco, and it is a genuine HP cartridge. It is one of the ink cartridges listed on the inside of the printer as being compatible, however when I put it in, I get an error message, saying that it is an older generation cartridge and can no longer be used. Is this just a scam for HP to charge me for another ink cartridge? These cartridges are really expensive, and that seems like a very deceptive practice. Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you resolve it?
