Product Name: HP DeskJet 2600 All-in-One Printer series
Product Number: V1N03B
Ink Cartridge Type: HP 304XL
Hi all,
My printer is having some cliché black ink cartridge issues, from what I can tell all the colour prints out just fine. There are no cartridge warnings or errors, and the black cartridge currently has about 90% of its full capacity. The printer skips lines, has real trouble with barcodes and such leaving gaps all over the page - quite often skipping lines entirely; again all the colour on these pages works fine.
I've tried removing the cartridge and cleaning it, this helped get me to this stage as originally it didn't print any black at all. I've gone through both stages of the cleaning function as well as the alignment function a few times but neither of these show any improvement.
I'm signed up to the Instant Ink service, but obviously they won't send me new cartridges whilst my current ones are full, even if they're not actually working. Do I have to shell out a stack of money for a new cartridge?
Let me know if there's any more information you need!
Thanks,
Callum
