HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have an HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer that prints vertical black lines and dots on every printed page. I have cleaned every part and roller that is accessible to me and I still have the issue. Would love to find an affordable solution. I have included a scanned photo of the most recent printed page.

If the lines are only in black then you have a problem with the black toner cartridge.

If there was a problem with the printer all 4 colours would be affected.

@Valsimot is likely correct here. Remove the black cartridge and check the blue-green drum on the bottom for toner on it in the spot matching the defect. It is likely a failed component in the cartridge, however in some cases it could be a little bit of paper stuck under the cleaning blade. If there is debris, you can try to remove the obstruction gently with the corner of a sheet of paper. Any tools or hard objects can damage the finish on the drum.

Sounds reasonable, I’ll order a new black cartridge and see if that solves it. Thanks!
