HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw is printing in grey style and not "perfect"black. I have no ecomode and the cartidges are more then 75%. I installed latest software, but with no succes. How can i print a good

Are these OEM or 3rd party cartridges. If you print anything from the control panel like the font list or configuration report, how does that look? If only the black is faded you may have a bad black cartridge. If all colors are faded you might have a power issue with the printer.

I have the cartridges for a long time and since about 2 moths ago the printing was very good.
After a update the problem start,  checked every setting and did go back to the factory settings but stil poor printing (all colours and black).

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Does the copy print out the same way?
  • What's the application you are trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

I have bought a new cartidge for testing and this one is working perfect.

It is still very strange that ALL the cartidges after a update printing poor.

So, my conclusion is that there was someting done with the update off HP.

I waited a long time with the update, but suddenly it was done.
