I have a fairly new (18 months) HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw printer. The print quality for the first 15 or 16 months was excellent even after replacing the original toner cartridges about 10 months ago (with actual HP cartridges). Documents were clear and crisp and if I printed a spreadsheet with gridlines, they showed. Photos were also excellent and I needed to do very little lightening or darkening of the photos before printing. After I 'upgraded' to Windows 11 the print quality declined greatly. My black text all looks grayish (even if I select black only printing), those gridlines don't show, and the text isn't even across the page or from top to bottom. This is true for color printing as well. Blues are not too bad...about the same as the black, visible and readable but faded. Reds are pink-ish when they show up at all and yellow is even worse. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer several times with and without using HP Smart. I have cleaned and calibrated. I have removed the toner cartridges and wiped them with a lens cleaning cloth. My current cartridges are still over 1/2 full. I am at my wits end. Any ideas?
