I put a new color cartridge in  and now it won't print any color just black

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that your printer is not printing in color, I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

 

Meanwhile:-

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report from the printer control panel, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Make sure the printer input tray is loaded with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

    The Setup menu displays.

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Clean the ink cartridges

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

    The Setup menu displays.

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.

  4. Examine the print quality on the Print Quality Diagnostic report.

  5. If the print quality is acceptable, touch No. You can stop troubleshooting.

  6. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Yes to perform the next level of cleaning.
