Product: Deskjet 2710e

My first two new ink cartridges (305 black and colour) that came with the printer (purchased) is over.

Can I just replace one black & white cartridge and leave the colour empty? Does it works without any problem?

Or can I use 2 black and white same time? (using the second black and white ink in colour ink cartridge)

Kindly advise.

The Deskjet 2710e will work in single cartridge mode, you can remove the color (or black) cartridge and still print.  You cannot put a black cartridge in the color cartridge slot.
