Hi,
I just bought the HP DeskJet 2720 Printer. The problem is it comes with a broken Black Setup Cartridge which the HP smart says it is "not communicating correctly with the printer". So the printer doesn't work at all since out of the box. However, I did buy an extra black 305 cartridge, although the printer can identify that, it gives me this "USE Setup Cartridge" error. I saw other people bypassed the problem like that with OOBE reset, does it also work if the Printer is unused or not "setup" yet? If so, please tell me how, or all I can do is to return it?
Best

@21Asher, Welcome to HP Support Community!
To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
