Is it worth buying a new black print cartridge for a HP Deskjet 2755e that hasn't' been used for 3 years and is printing blank pages?

Hi @TheOrb,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer has not been used for approximately 3 years and is now printing blank pages, the black ink cartridge has likely dried out due to prolonged inactivity. This is a common issue when printers are left unused for extended periods.

We recommend replacing the black ink cartridge with a genuine HP 67 or HP 67XL cartridge to restore normal print functionality.

Before doing so, you may also try the following:

  1. Remove the existing cartridge and gently clean the printhead area with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
  2. Run a printhead cleaning from the HP Smart app or the printer control panel under Tools.

If the issue persists after cleaning, installing a new cartridge is the next appropriate step.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
