This the 3rd replacement HP DeskJet 3755 Compact All-in-One Wireless Printer I've purchased. I continue to have the same problem.... print job is wirelessly sent and immediately printing begins, but job is printed in one of a few ways: (i) so faintly you can barely read it, (ii) off color or (iii) blank.

I've tried every self help options to restart, reset, recalibrate, test, you name it. I've tried new ink cartridges. Tried printing from laptop, phone, friend's devices. Same result. This has happened on all 3 of the devices, including the 2 replacements. I just need to know how to get this printer to work!

Note: it is NOT under warranty so [edited]. I purchased this new from Amazon in May 2025, but HP told me the warrant ended in 2022.

Hi there @help_me_print_1, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

I’m really sorry to hear about the repeated issues with your HP DeskJet 3755. I understand how frustrating it must be to go through multiple replacements and still face the same printing problems. Let’s work together to get this resolved.

Based on your description, the issue could be related to:

  • Ink delivery system (clogged or misaligned)
  • Firmware or driver conflicts
  • Environmental factors (e.g., dried ink due to infrequent use)

Even though you've tried many steps already, here’s a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to ensure nothing is missed:

Step-by-Step Fix

Check Ink Cartridge Health

Run Print Quality Diagnostic

  • On the printer, press Setup > Tools > Print Quality Report.
  • Check for missing lines, faded areas, or color inconsistencies.

If the report is blank or faint, proceed to the next step.

Align and Clean Printhead

  • Use HP Smart app or printer control panel:
    • HP Smart App > Printer Settings > Tools > Align Printhead
    • Then run Clean Printhead (repeat up to 3 times if needed)

Update Firmware

  • Outdated firmware can cause erratic behavior.
  • Visit: Official HP® Support
  • Download and install the latest firmware for your OS.

Try USB Connection

  • Temporarily connect via USB to rule out wireless transmission issues.
  • If USB prints fine, the issue may be with wireless communication or driver.

Reset the Printer

  • Unplug printer while powered on.
  • Wait 60 seconds, plug back in, and power on.
  • This performs a soft reset that can clear internal errors.

If the issue persists:

  • Try printing a simple black text document from Notepad via USB.
  • If still faint or blank, it’s likely a hardware issue with the ink system.

And for the warranty issue, Please check this document and follow the steps to raise the warranty dispute: HP PCs, printers - Dispute a warranty status | HP® Support
