Hi @sof666,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out, and we understand how frustrating this must be. If your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 All-in-One Printer stopped recognizing cartridges — including original HP ones — after a firmware update, here are a few steps to help resolve the issue:

Step 1: Power Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer on, unplug the power cable from the back.
  2. Unplug it from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug it back into the wall, then the printer.
  5. Turn the printer on and reinsert the cartridges.

Step 2: Check Cartridge Compatibility

Ensure you're using genuine HP ink cartridges compatible with your model:

  • For the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775, the supported cartridges are:
    • HP 682 Black
    • HP 682 Tri-color

If you're using refilled, remanufactured, or third-party cartridges, the firmware update may have blocked them for security and quality reasons.

Step 3: Clean Cartridge Contacts

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Remove the cartridges.
  3. Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
  4. Let everything dry for a minute, then reinstall the cartridges and turn the printer back on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Vikram,

Unfortunatly didn't work. The E0 error keeps there.. and also the supported cartridges for this printer used to be 667,  always was. Am i wrong?

I believe my printer is blocking ALL cartidges, even original ones. Can we perform a downgrade of the firmware to get my printer back to life?

Thanks
