My printer only prints greyscale. When i choose the option "only black ink", then the printer prints nothing. When i choose print in greyscale = off or print in greyscale: grey in high quality, then the output is printed in light grey. Is there a problem with the black inkcartridge? Or another problem?

Welcome to the HP support community.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

If not, Run a Print Quality Diagnostic report

Go to 123.hp.com or your app store to install the HP Smart app. Click the picture of your printer on the home screen to open printer management options that include the report.

Run the automated printhead or ink cartridge cleaning tool

Clean the printhead and cartridges to resolve print quality issues including incorrect colors, streaks, and faded prints.

  1. Load plain white paper in the tray.

  2. Run the cleaning tool.

  3. Go to 123.hp.com or your app store to install the HP Smart app. Click the picture of your printer on the home screen to open printer management options that include the cleaning tool.
  4. If the page that prints have defects, the printhead might be badly clogged. Run up to two more cleaning cycles.
