I’m using an HP desk jet 3637 printer. My color cartridge is low but I have a full black cartridge. I get no error messages on the printer display. The printer acknowledges the ink levels I listed earlier. The problem is that the printer just doesn’t print. It does get a few dull print spots on the paper but doesn’t do anything more than that. The printer is 3 years old but that just doesn’t mean that I throw it away. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd like to help!
To better assist you -
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?
Remove the color cartridge and try printing with only the black cartridge.
If the black cartridge gives you quality issues, try the steps in the document Print Quality Issues
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
