I am experiencing issues previously reported about prints that should be in black coming out as a light green color, but after attempting a few of the responses on similar questions the issue remains. A few notes on thing's that I have tried...

 

1.) The printer was bought this year and has been used less than 5 times, I don't believe it is due to a low cartridge ink level as there are no warning's present there either.

2.) Copies/Scans printed specifically in black and white will come out blank, not green.

3.) I've tried cleaning/aligning with the directions from the print and scan doctor. The clean will then print a page with just a few blue and yellow lines, while the align cannot work due to only a few fields being printed in green.

4.) unplugging/plugging/reinstalling

5.) checked for firmware updates.

 

After that print quality has remained the same faded light green instead of black. Are there any more steps that can be attempted at home?

Replace the ink cartridge, the ink dried inside because you didn't use the printer for a long period.

I was unaware that drying up could happen, I have replaced the cartridges with brand new ones and the black worked. Thank you.
