Hi @DaliTebo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 printer is only printing in one color despite all cartridges being full, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check Cartridge Installation
- Verify Cartridges: Ensure that all cartridges are properly installed. Sometimes, cartridges can be loose or not seated correctly.
- Reinstall Cartridges: Remove the cartridges and reinsert them carefully to make sure they are securely in place.
2. Run Printer Diagnostic Tools
- Printer Self-Test: Most HP printers have a built-in diagnostic tool for checking ink levels and print quality.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup or Tools.
- Look for Print Quality Report or Print Head Diagnostic and follow the prompts.
3. Check Ink Levels
- Ink Status: Even though cartridges are full, it’s worth checking the ink levels to ensure they are accurately detected.
- On your computer, open the HP Printer Assistant or HP Smart App.
- Check the ink levels displayed there.
4. Perform Print Head Cleaning
- Cleaning Procedure:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup.
- Select Tools or Maintenance.
- Choose Clean Printhead or Printhead Cleaning and follow the instructions.
- Manual Cleaning: If the automatic cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, you might need to manually clean the print head. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to safely clean the print head.
5. Check Print Settings
- Print Preferences:
- Go to Control Panel on your computer.
- Select Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 and choose Printing Preferences.
- Check the settings to ensure that you are not inadvertently set to print in grayscale or black and white only.
6. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Update Drivers:
- Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest drivers for your printer.
- Reinstall Drivers:
- Uninstall the existing printer drivers from your computer.
- Restart your computer and reinstall the drivers from HP’s website.
7. Check for Firmware Updates
- Firmware Update: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date.
- Visit the HP Support website and search for firmware updates for your printer model.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
