Printer HP ENVY 4500
I have a GENUINE HP 61XL Black cartridge bought in 2019.
It's been refilled at Costco on 2020-01.

It worked well until this week. I'm now getting an error message : incompatible cartridge.

Why? And what should I do to repair it?

The only possible thing I did that might have cause the problem was :

since I had not used the printer colors in a long time because I mostly only print in black, the red color does not flow anymore. I used the program "HP print and scan doctor" to solve the issue. Could it have done a software update which would be the cause of all this trouble? Or has my cartridge become defective all of a sudden?

Steps I took to solve this issue without success :

1 - I tried all trouble shouting I found on HP already (doing the on/off, reboot, remove cartridge, unplug, bla bla bla)

2 - clean cartridge

3 - Factory reset

4 - I tried my "defective" black 61XL cartridge in HP Deskjet 1000 J110 printer. I get the same error message.

5- I tried older cartridges (color and black) bought in 2016 and they are recognized by both printers without any problem (except black is empty, and color is half full but won't flow).
