HP ENVY 5055
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

2 new legitimate HP ink cartridges from 2 different stores are showing as empty and don't show as legitimate HP ink on an HP Envy 5055. 

I already

-cleaned the cartridges and the inside

-reset printer by shut off and by shutoff and pulling plug and with and without the ink cartridges

-restored printer to factory settings when all else failed and cleaned it again,  did 4 resets as above and no luck.

-I even put in old cartridges which possibly were not empty as they were not old.

- All the drivers are updated, windows 10 updated, newest software downloaded.

 

The printer itself shows blank 65 for ink and shows both completely empty and the HP support assistant says either ink is empty or they are counterfeit cartridges although 2 different legitimate stores.

 

HP Cartridge expirations are tri color Malaysia Aug 2025 and black just says JUN 2025

 

Since it is an issue with both cartridges from 2 different stores and 1 just purchased, I imagine this is a printer failure.  My other HP Envy had same issue but, I was able to get it to work after 3 days.  This has been a week of trying.

Very disapointed as I have to get this stuff printed and am in no mood to head to a printer.
