If your HP ENVY 5052 is printing blank pages, there are several steps you can take to resolve this issue. Here’s a detailed guide to help you troubleshoot and fix the problem:

Check Ink Levels and Cartridges

  • Ensure that there is enough ink in both the black and tri-color cartridges. If the ink levels are low, replace the cartridges. You can check the ink levels and learn how to replace cartridges here.

Clean the Printhead

  • Print a test page by pressing the information button on the printer. If the test page is blank, clean the printhead:
    • With a Touchscreen: Navigate to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead on the printer's control panel.
    • With the HP Smart App: Download the app from 123.hp.com to access printer management options, including the cleaning tool.

Check Print Settings

  • Ensure that the print settings are correct for your job. Double-check the color, paper type, paper size, and quality settings:
    • On Windows: Click File > Print in your application, then navigate to Options, Printer Setup, or Preferences.
    • On Mac: Open the item in Preview, then click File > Print.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
