Hello. When attempting to do the first time setup of my new HP ENVY 6458e, the color ink cartridge reads as a failure. I attempted all steps that the setup had to repair the problem, with no success. I heard there is a way to bypass using the setup cartridge. I have extra cartridges ready to use.
A DM with instructions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi@Troxic21,
Please follow the steps below to do a trade override:
1. a. Open the ink cartridge access door.
2. b. Press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds.
3. c. Close the access door. A Load Paper message displays on the control panel, and the printer begins initializing.
4. d. If the initialization does not begin, repeat steps a through c until initialization begins.
5. e. Follow the prompts on the control panel to complete initialization.

Hi@Troxic21, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
As I understand, you're getting an error message while using set up cartridges in your printer.
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Have you tried regular ink cartridges?
Step 1: Make sure the ink cartridges are compatible
Step 2: Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed
Step 3: Clean the electrical contacts
Step 4: Reset the printer
Step 5: Clean the ink cartridge contacts again
Keep me posted. Happy to help!
