HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer

HP ENVY 7645 will not print in Black at all. Both Color and Black cartridge were getting low. So replaced both with Brand New sealed HP cartridges. Letters would not print. So I followed the cleaning process from level 1 thru level 3. Still would not print. Uninstalled new cartridges several times and went thru the same cleaning process 2 to 3 more times. Still would not print. Unpluged the printer and let it sit overnight. No luck.  Removed the Black Cartridge and shook and tapped it very gently. Still no luck. All during the above process, did not touch the Cartridge heads. Made sure the protective head strip was removed.  Letter has 6 paragraphs. Colored each paragraph into different colors. Black, Purple, Blue, Yellow, Brown, Red, Black again.

All colors printed fine except the first and last paragraph which are Black. Printer worked just fine prior to changing both cartridges.

  • Does the copy print out the same way? 
  • What's the application you are trying to print from? 
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
