I purchased a brand new HP ENVY Photo 7155 and it came with no set-up cartridges. I need to know how to continue with the cartridges I purchased. I would also recommend posting the answer to these questions rather than sending it out individually via direct message. This is a heavily asked question and may relieve some strain if the answer was easily accessible. Thanks!

Hello! Unfortunately, none of the directions I was given by HP seemed to work. After about a month of research I found something that worked for bypassing the setup cartridges on my own. I figured I would share this for anyone else who is stuck.
Solution 1: “hit Home button, then Back button twice, then Home button (nothing changes on the screen so you just gotta go with it...). Open the lid, take out both cartridges and close it. It should error saying "no cartridges found" or something of the like. Open the lid and put the cartridges back in. Printer will run diagnostics and print a test page if it worked right.” -Found this as a YouTube comment.
Solution 2: Press Home button, Back button, Home button, Home button. Press “Service Menu” -> “Resets Menu” -> “OOBE reset”. Upon system shutdown, press “Power button”. Select “Language” -> “Country/Region” and continue to setup using 123.hp.com (I used my phone). During the setup it will ask for you to install the printer cartridges. At this point I opened the printer, removed my new cartridges, closed the printer, reopened, and installed those same “new” cartridges. It finally printed out the test page and after months I can now use my printer. -This solution I came up with on my own.
I really hope this solution works for everyone else. Not being able to use this expensive printer due to HP not shipping with setup cartridges really tested my patience. Thanks! (Hopefully this solution doesn’t get deleted..)

Hi@EricLuce, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
As I understand, you're getting an error message while using set up cartridges in your printer.
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Have you tried regular ink cartridges?
Step 1: Make sure the ink cartridges are compatible
Step 2: Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed
Step 3: Clean the electrical contacts
Step 4: Reset the printer
Step 5: Clean the ink cartridge contacts again
Keep me posted. Happy to help!

Hello,
I purchased brand new ink cartridges that are compatiple with the printer. They are correctly installed, I've checked the contacts, and have resetting the printer multiple times.
I keep getting the error, "Use SETUP catridges the came with your printer".
I have utilized the windows desktop app to scroll throught the settings, but nothing there seems to give me a solution.
