HP Printer with alignment printer issues. I have noticed some of the lines are not being printed, so went to printer setup and ran printer maintenance->Clean Cartridge and Align Cartridge. However, It still fails with the printer alignment. Is there a way to fix it? I also bought new cartridges to see if that resolves the issues, but it did not fix it.

@shabd08, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Alignment Issues for HP ENVY Photo 7155!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Alignment issues can be caused by several factors including improper cartridge installation, defective cartridges, or sensor problems. Here are the steps you can take to resolve alignment issues with your HP ENVY Photo 7155:

Steps to Resolve Alignment Issues

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Open the printer door, remove the cartridges, and reinsert them securely.
  • Make sure you are not touching the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles during this process.

Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges:

  • Verify that you are using authentic HP ink cartridges as non-genuine cartridges may cause print quality issues.

Perform a Manual Cleaning:

  • Try manually cleaning the area surrounding the ink nozzles. You can use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the contacts and edges around the nozzles.

Double-Check Alignment Process:

  • After replacing or cleaning the cartridges, run the alignment process again. Make sure plain white paper is loaded properly in the input tray, as any foreign or colored paper may cause alignment failures.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure your printer firmware and driver software are up-to-date. This can be done through the HP website or the HP Smart app.

Check for Sensor Issues:

  • If repeated alignment failures persist, a defective sensor may be the issue. In this case, contacting HP Support for further assistance or repair might be necessary.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
