Have any of you SUCCESSFULLY printed MICR checks on this printer (HP Envy Pro 6455) I read that someone has used it on the 6400 model but, I"m asking about the 6455 in particular. It's been stored for a while and I'm starting my own payroll business in a few months and I will need an MICR printer for printing payroll checks. My bf said he read somewhere that it does and uses HP 67 MICR ink (nano) but I can't find anywhere online or on the box that says it does. When I look up the price of the ink, it says it's compatible with this model so I assume I'm good to go.. For those that have been using it to print checks, how well does it produce them, and what software would I use to design them? I would love to use it since we already own it so I won't have to buy another one. 😄

Likely HP does not manufacture a MICR ink and you would have to go with third party. Before purchasing get assurance from the seller that it will work and confirm which revision of firmware they have tested and is compatible with. If your firmware is newer than what they have tested with, there is a good chance the cartridges will be rejected.
