After a new installation of a color cartridge and realignment page failed, my Envy will no longer print color pages. I've tried Factory resets, hard reset, numerous cartridge changes, outlet check, cartridges are installed properly, driver is updated, print heads were cleaned numerous times and I still cannot get this printer to print a color page.

@JR1131, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer is unable to print color pages despite multiple troubleshooting attempts, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Steps to Follow:
Ensure the Printer is Using Original HP Ink Cartridges:
- Verify that the ink cartridges are genuine HP cartridges, as non-HP supplies might cause compatibility issues. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP supplies.
Reinstall the Ink Cartridges:
- Ensure all ink cartridges are properly installed:
- Gently pull open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove the ink cartridge by pushing it in to release it and then pulling it firmly toward you.
- Insert the cartridge into the slot and press firmly to ensure proper contact.
- Close the ink cartridge access door and check if the error message has gone away.
Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:
- Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with bottled or distilled water and clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and inside the printer.
Perform a cartridge alignment:Printing an alignment page on an HP printer | HP® Support
- Align the ink cartridges through the printer software or from the printer display by selecting Tools and then selecting Align Printer. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Print a Diagnostics Page:HP ENVY 4500, Deskjet 3540 Printers - Print Self-Test Pages | HP® Support
- To print a diagnostics page:
- Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the paper tray.
- Open the printer software, click Print & Scan, and then click Maintain Your Printer to access the Printer Toolbox.
- Click Print Diagnostic Information on the Device Reports tab to print a diagnostics page. If streaks or missing portions are visible, perform an automatic cleaning.
Automatic Cleaning of Ink Cartridges:
- If the diagnostics page shows streaks or missing portions, clean the cartridges automatically from the printer software or printer display.
- Select Tools from the Home screen, then select Clean Printhead. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Additional Recommendations:
Reset the Printer:
- Sometimes, a full reset can help resolve persistent issues. Disconnect the power cord and wait for at least 60 seconds before reconnecting it to restart the printer.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure that the printer firmware is up to date. Check HP's website for any available updates.
