Product: HP Envy 4527 AIO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

HP Envy 4527 AIO - Printing blank pages but ink level indicators are half full.

 

I'm not sure if I just need new ink or if I need a new printer.

 

Is there anything I can do to confirm the problem, before wasting money on new ink or a new printer; although with the price of ink as it is, a whole new printer would be cheaper.

If the printer was unused for a longer period ink gets dried inside the cartridge and you get an empty page out. If the cleaning cartridges doesn't help you will need to replace cartridges.

Thanks but then why are the ink levels indicating over half full? Surely if there was no ink, the levels would be near empty?

There is ink the level is good but the ink dried inside, not liquid anymore.

It's like you open a can of paint, it's liquid when you use it but if you don't use it the paint gets thicker and thicker and then dries.
