Envy 5032
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My grandad has an HP Envy 5032 printer.

He hasn't used it for a little while. When he tried to print a word document this week, there were huge gaps in the printing - only every 3rd line had printed and even that hadn't printed properly. This happens with every document and we've also tried a different laptop.

I tried to print an alignment page but this also came out with huge gaps.

I assumed that the print head must be at fault, but when we tried photocopying a document, it came out perfectly.

I have checked that both laptops have the latest version of the printer driver, and I've updated the printer's firmware. I have also tried a factory reset. The gaps have reduced slightly but most of the document is still missing.

The two laptops are running WIndows 10 - one is running Windows 10 LTSC 2016 and the other is WIndows 10 Pro.

Is there anything else I can do to try and fix this problem? Photo attached.

Ink dried from printer being unused for some time, replace a black print cartridge and the printer will print fine.
