I have an HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One-Printer. For weeks now I have not been able to solve a printing problem. Black ink does not print onto the paper. The ink cartridge is 60% full and nothing prints. The color cartridge does print, but no black ink mixes in when necessary. For example if black is part of a color profile, it will print without the black component. If we print a document with just black, it goes through the motions of printing (sounds completely normal), but a blank page comes out.
I have followed every trouble-shooting step via HP's website, including cleaning the cartridges and the electrical panel. I have also replaced the ink cartridge with a brand new cartridge. These are all HP cartridges, btw. All of our software is up to date.
Lastly, there are no error messages at all, but clearly an error.
I feel like there might be something else going on mechanically inside the printer.
Any ideas or help?
